Description
Intense brush strokes brought together the elements in this exquisite fine art piece titled, "Clash" When describing this painting, artist Sheri Jo Posselt wrote, "Most people look at this and see two colorful horses facing each other. Just like life there is more if you look deeper or closer. Most people don't. They only look on the surface. What do your eye's see? What does your intuition tell you? When I painted it I intended to paint in the elements. Can you see the blue horse is made up of Water? The orange brown horse is made of Fire. They are both very different from each other, but wait, how come in the orange one's eye we see blue water? Oh my in the blue one's eye we can see orange fire! Wow really looking I can see the Water horse is crying and the Fire horse has tears as well! Why? Because when we clash at any time for any reason there is pain and tears, whether it is two friends and their differences, or two different countries not seeing eye to eye! When will we get it! Look at yourself and your responsibily! What part have you played, or not played! I have tried to be a peaceful person in this life, but I am broken. I am done. Oh! No! Not again, I have to follow my own wisdom and look deeper. In the background at the bottom of this painting is Earth and at the top and all around is Air, but where is Spirit? It is in each of us as we observe. Spirit can move in and out and all around, inside and out, if given enough time to focus on ourselves, we can see the Water and Fire in our own eyes. We can stand on this Earth and know the Air we breathe is precious. I can look back at a friend and know I could have done more, or been better in some way. I can look at my country and see children suffering and know there are mean people abusing them. I can blame and feel justified and mighty in my anger against this, but I am missing my chance to find fault with myself. What did I do to help these children in my country?! What did I do to be a better friend? Neighbor? What can I change about myself to make this world a better place? Peacefully, but with conviction I can change the world! It is harder than just getting angry at everyone else, because it is the path less traveled and no one can show me the way, but God, Higher Power, or whatever you want to call it. Trust me God will not strike you into eternal punishment if you do good, but call Him by a different name!
