Here it is from the artist's perspective: The woman walked up to my booth at the Amoterra Wellness fair, I had met her briefly once before and knew she had a love of horses. Sometimes it is hard to paint intuitively when you know things about a person, because you have to let go of everything you know to give them what is really the image meant for them. The Client sat down across from me, I held her hands, closed my eyes and saw a rough image of what you see here but it was upside down. I sometimes am my worst critic and I said to myself, "No way! It must be a mistake! I know she loves horses and so do I. I would love to paint her one of these exquisite animals, but this has to be me interfering!
